Fusion bonded epoxy, also known as FBE coating, the FBE are thin thermoset polymer coatings of epoxy-resin powder materials formed in the surface of the base steel pipe by electrostatic spraying.  The FBE coating has excellent corrosion resistance, it bond firmly to the base steel pipe surface with the coating and increases the life span of steel pipes providing a constant to soil pressure.

FBE coating is widely used for internal and external corrosion protection of oil & gas pipelines due to its excellent adhesion and anti-cathode stripping properties. As an external anti-corrosion coating, FBE mainly includes single-layer FBE coating, double-layer FBE(DPS) coating, three-layer extruded polyethylene (3LPE), etc. It can realize long-term anti-corrosion protection of pipes and combine them with cathodic protection.
