ASTM A420 covers wrought carbon steel and alloy steel fittings of seamless and welded construction for use in pressure piping and pressure vessel service at low temperatures. ASTM A420 are available in four several grades: WPL6, WPL9, WPL3, WPL8, the commonly used grades are WPL6 and WPL9. Heat treatment<\/p>\n

All pipe fittings shall be supplied in normalizing, normalizing and tempering, annealing or hardening and tempering conditions.\u00a0The welding shall be completed prior to the austenitizing heat treatment.\u00a0It can also simulate post-weld heat treatment.\u00a0Simulated post-weld heat treatment temperature: 595 — 650 \u00b0C.\u00a0Minimum holding time: 1h\/25mm, not less than 45
