ASTM A178-Rohre werden haupts\u00e4chlich f\u00fcr Kesselrohre, Kesselabz\u00fcge, \u00dcberhitzerabz\u00fcge und andere Sicherheitsanwendungen verwendet. Es gibt drei Stahlsorten f\u00fcr ASTM A178: G\u00fcteklasse A (Stahl mit niedrigem Kohlenstoffgehalt), G\u00fcteklasse C (Stahl mit mittlerem Kohlenstoffgehalt) und G\u00fcteklasse D (Kohlenstoff-Manganstahl). Die Herstellungsverfahren m\u00fcssen W\u00e4rmebehandlung und Schwei\u00dfen nach dem Abk\u00fchlen umfassen.
