    De specificatie API 5L van het American Petroleum Institute is ontworpen voor transportsystemen in de aardolie- en aardgasindustrie voor het transport van gas, water en olie. API 5L grade B is een staalsoort van API 5L die de vervaardiging van twee productniveaus (PSL1 en PSL2) lijnpijp specificeert.
