    API 5CT is een specificatie voor casing en tubing voor de aardolie- en aardgasindustrie, gebruikt voor boorputten. Deze norm specificeert de technische leveringsvoorwaarden voor stalen buizen (casing, tubing en pup joints), koppelingsmateriaal, koppelingsmateriaal en hulpmateriaal en stelt eisen aan drie productspecificatieniveaus (PSL-1, PSL-2, PSL-3).<\/p>\n

    In API 5CT versie 9 is in het hoofdstuk \"Fabricagemethode en vereisten voor chemische samenstelling\" staalsoort C95 verwijderd en is R95, C110 (alleen naadloze buizen) toegevoegd. API Grade R95 heeft hetzelfde rekgrensbereik en treksterkte als API T95, maar zonder de vereiste voor SSC<\/span> of hardheidstests, over het algemeen niet voor gebruik in condensaatputten omdat er geen hardheidsbeperkingen nodig zijn. Staalsoort R95 is een beter geprijsd alternatief voor T95 in putten zonder het risico op sulfide spanningsscheuren.
