De Long Round Thread (LTC), Short Round Thread (STC) en Buttress Thread (BTC) zijn de meest gebruikte soorten schroefdraadverbindingen voor API-buizen in de olie- en gasindustrie. STC-koppeling is bestand tegen de sterkte van de buis van 60~80% van de treksterkte van de pijp. Elke koppeling heeft acht ronde gekuifde draden per inch. STC-schroefdraad wordt voornamelijk gebruikt voor casingtoepassingen met een kortere lengte waarbij een hoge axiale belasting of buiging minder vereist is.<\/p>\n
