Fire line pipe is generally made by plain carbon or galvanized steel pipe used for connecting fire equipment and conveying water, gas or other media. ASTM A795 covers for black and hot-dipped zinc-coated (galvanized) welded and seamless steel pipe for fire protection purposes. The wall thickness of the ASTM A795 pipe is suitable for joining by the following two methods: one is a light-weight pipe (DN20-250): rolled groove, welding, and fittings for plain end-fire protection pipe. The other is a standard-weight pipe (DN15-250): cut or rolled groove, threading, welding and fittings for plain end-fire protection pipe.<\/p>\n

The ASTM A795 seamless and welded steel pipe or furnished in two grades (Grade A, Grade B) and three types (type E, type F and type S). Type E is for ERW (Electric Resistance Weld) process. The ASTM A795 type E Grade B is a commonly used type has been widely used for pipe sprinkler systems.<\/p>\n

Wall Thickness: The minimum wall thickness at any point shall not vary by more than 12.5% under the nominal wall thickness.<\/p>\n
