API 5CT STC Casing Coupling

The Long Round Thread (LTC), Short Round Thread (STC) and Buttress Thread (BTC) are the most commonly used thread connection types of API casing pipes in the oil and gas industry. STC coupling can withstand the strength of the tubular 60~80% of the pipe tensile strength. Each has eight round crested threads per inch. STC thread is mainly used for shorter length casing applications that high axial loads or bending are less required.
